NFL Week 13 Picks Against the Spread: Cleveland Browns vs. Miami Dolphins

Quarterback Chad Henne returned to action, completing 17 of 30 passes for 307 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the 33-17 victory.Henne had lost the starting job to Chad Pennington prior to a Week 10 matchup with Tennessee. shoulder injury. Henne injured his knee in that game and it originally looked like he might miss the remainder of the season as well.Miami is fortunate to have gotten Henne back. Cleveland hopes it can share the same good fortune by getting starting quarterback Colt McCoy back Sunday.With McCoy out with a serious ankle sprain, the Browns turned to quarterback Jake Delhomme. The veteran signal caller completed 24 of 35 passes for 245 yards in a 24-23 win over his former team. Delhomme, however, kept Carolina in the game with two interceptions. He has thrown two interceptions in each of the three games he has played in this season. McCoy has only thrown three picks in five games.Cleveland will look to earn another victory Sunday in Miami, where the Dolphins are only 1-4 this season. NFL lines makers, however, expect Miami to notch their second home win, listing the Dolphins as 4-point favorites with the total set at 42.5.Regardless if McCoy or Delhomme is under center, the Dolphins must stop running back Peyton Hillis in order to win this game. Hillis gashed Carolina for 131 yards and three touchdowns on 5.0 yards per carry last week. He ranks ninth in the league with 905 rushing yards and is second 4 Brett Favre Purple jersey
with 13 total touchdowns.It is worth noting that Cleveland has won its last three games when Hillis breaks the century mark.Miami has really struggled when laying points at home. In fact, the Dolphins are 6-26 against the number in their last 32 home games as a favorite. They are also 2-14 against the spread in their last 16 games as a home favorite of 3.5 to 10.0 points.Cleveland must do a better job of taking care of the football if it hopes to pull off the upset in Miami. That may be a lot easier said than done if Delhomme is under center.The Miami defense has been very opportunistic in recent weeks. The Dolphins have won two of their last three games, and the defense forced three turnovers in each of those wins.You can bet the Dolphins will be stacking the box to slow down Hillis.
